WHO WE ARE

Paul Marriner, the owner of Gale’s End Press, lives in Maders Cove on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. A fly fisher for more than sixty years, he has angled for numerous fresh and salt water species in a dozen countries around the world.

Hundreds of his articles have been published in North America and abroad and he contributed to several anthologies. In 1991 he won the Gregory Clark Award for outstanding contributions to the arts of fly fishing and in 2008 the Jean-Guy Côté Award for continuous contributions to the arts of fly-tying. In 2008 he was also a member of the Outdoor Canada team of writers who won a gold medal at the National Magazine Awards.

A seventeen-time member of the Canadian team participating in the World and Commonwealth Fly Fishing Championships, Paul was the Captain of the Canadian team from 1994 to 1996 and again in 2000.

In addition to Paul’s titles, Gale’s End Press has published works by D. James Marriner and Perry Munro. We have also designed and edited titles by other authors.
